Over $600 Million in Favorable Verdicts and Settlements
We create the best – for the best. These are a few recent animations that helped produce outstanding results in the courtroom or mediation.
HEAVY TRUCK V MOTORCYCLE | $6M SETTLEMENT
With the use of Computer Animation, we were able to clearly and accurately depict the Plaintiff’s horrific story and simultaneously convey the tremendous pain that he endured.
We were tasked by attorney Victor Alexandroff to illustrate the tragedy by using reference images and police reports to re-create the sequence of events that led to the collision between the towed Woodchipper and motorcyclist. Our expert 3D artists used the provided materials in addition to satellite imagery and High Definition Laser Scanner point cloud data to accurately re-create the location in which the collision occurred. Then they used the accompanying police and expert reports to animate the collision as it happened.
With no time to react to the truck driver’s negligent and dangerous behavior, there was no option available other than to make direct contact with the defendant’s vehicle and sustain severe injuries.
AUTO V AUTO REAR-END | CONFIDENTIAL SETTLEMENT
Our plaintiff client tasked us with recreating a high-speed, rear-end collision that occurred on a Los Angeles freeway and resulted in severe personal injuries.
We created four animations for this case depicting a first person view, third person view, and two medical surgeries that helped our client receive a favorable settlement outside of court on the client’s terms.
DELEON V CITY OF NORWALK | $14 MILLION
Our client – the City of Norwalk – tasked us with recreating a nighttime vehicular accident in which the plaintiff claimed that foliage on the median contributed to him being struck by a car. We had four animations entered as evidence and after the jury viewed the animations they decided that the city was not at fault.
The defendant driver was found to be 95% at fault with the plaintiff 5% at fault. Approximately $14 million was awarded to the plaintiff against the defendant driver – while our client paid nothing.
HERNANDEZ V FIRST STUDENT | $250 MILLION
The plaintiff was demanding $250 million from our client for a wrongful death during a vehicle and pedestrian collision. We produced 6 animations from different witness perspectives that were brought in as evidence. As a result of viewing our animations the jury found the plaintiff to be 80% at fault and awarded only $250,000. Plaintiff was responsible for our client’s legal costs.
FRY V LARRY MILLER TOYOTA | $2.2 MILLION
The defendant repaired the drive-shaft on the plaintiff’s vehicle which failed on a freeway causing severe injury to the driver. Initial demand from the plaintiff was $119,000 but the dealer disputed liability. We created several animations that had the jury understand a complex mechanical failure. After only 8 days in trial and 3 hours for jury deliberation the plaintiff was awarded $2.2 million dollars.
ESTRADA V FEDEX | DEFENSE RESULT
We created this series of animations to show how the motorcycle driver was at fault in the fatal collision. One animation of note is the “avoidance scenario” which showed the jury that if the rider applied the brakes instead of steering right, the collision would have been avoided. Two security cameras provided excellent resources that we could derive the animations from.
VEHICLE V MOTORCYCLE | PLAINTIFF VERDICT
Our client asked us to create a short animation of a collision, detailing the mechanism of injury. The animation entered as a demonstrative with the motorcycle riders testimony sufficient in laying foundation. We animated several surgery’s the rider received in result of the crash. The animations were instrumental in the jury understanding damages.
LANDAVERDE V CITY OF FONTANA | $20 MILLION
Plaintiff was demanding $20M in a fatal collision involving a police cruiser. We created a very budget friendly animation exhibit that showed what would have been seen on the night of the incident. The jury deliberated for five hours before finding in favor of our client on all counts.
“The animation was highly effective. The jury was rapt every time we played it in court and they asked to it again while deliberating. After the verdict came down, many of the jurors told us that they really liked the video. It brought our case home!”Lynberg & Watkins
